p2 log or p2 genie?

ive noticed that they are now offering p2 log for $99 - but i also like p2 genie - being new to the P2 world would like to know what the masses think of the 2 - pro's and cons - i will be downloading footage using P2 store onto mac book pro - or at time mac pro - looking for best speed and easiest to work with

They're both fundmentally different pieces of software, actually.

P2 Log lets you edit SD card metadata, preview clips before importing into an editor, and making metadata changes to those clips ahead of time (to name a few features). This can be used with footage read directly from the P2 card, or after it's been offloaded to your computer's hard drive.

P2 Genie is a program which automates P2 card offloading onto your computer. Instead of inserting the P2 card, creating a new folder, dragging and dropping the P2 data folder onto the desktop, naming the folder to organizational purposes, deleting the data from the P2 card, and then ejecting, P2 Genie automates all of these steps so all you have to do is insert the P2 card, let it take care of everything, and then remove it when P2 Genie ejects it. Makes for better use of your time when your card gets full.

Both are pretty neat, and you'll probably make use of both eventually.
