Hi Guys,
here's a wierd thing I'm experiencing logging P2 with FCP on both powerbook and G5 tower.
Some P2 volumes won't show any video on FCP logging/import screen. It will show thumbnail, timecode etc etc, but won't play any video or audio. It will import/transcode to QT with no problem though.
Also, it will work fine directly off P2 card, but not some P2 volume copy on harddrive. And it's not all P2 files on harddrive..just some of them. Anyone else seeing this?
Again, transcodes to QT perfect. Will play video directly off P2 card, just not P2 some copied volumes on harddrive. This is new to me.
any thoughts?
PS..copied P2 plenty of times, got workfow down..never lost footage. But this is new.
