P2 Help!

I just logged and transferred all my clips from my P2 card into FCP, but in FCP they don't open. I opened the clips in Quicktime and they're fine and reimported them in FCP but they just show up as black - no sound or picture...what's wrong?
 
I just tried importing files captured from tape and they don't work, so something in my FCP is wrong...any advice?

Just restarted FCP and all is well. Any ideas why that might have happened though? It scared the bejesus out of me...
