Here's the scenario, edit a project with footage captured as HDV. After the edit if you have a portable P2 hooked up to a PC can you export a fnished edit to a P2 card via fire wire to the P2 Gear or the AJ-PCD20?
 
It all depends on the tools you use.

I know Edius 4 Broadcast can do it -- it will take whatever sequences you have (which can contain mixed formats including HDV, assuming that wasn't a typo in your post), and output it back to P2 media. It will also span cards if the sequence doesn't fit on a single card.
 
What I'm looking for is a way to output a finished project to a p2 card. Essentially outputting a DVCPRO HD finished product to card. In most cases having used various footage captured in the project ie. HDV, DVCpro HD.
 
Yes, that's what I'm talking about. Edius can do that, and I think DVFilm is working on something that should let you do that as well. I don't know what products if any it will integrate with, or whether it will be a standalone tool.
