I'm having an intermittent P2/firewire transfer quirk that I'm not finding discussed on the boards. When I set the HVX into 1394 Device transfer mode and then connect to my mac book pro, I seldom get both P2 cards to mount on the desktop as external devices. I had been mounting/unmounting disconnecting/connecting through several cycles before I could get both to mount; then I realized that I could use the drive utility to mount the the one card that wouldn't appear.
I've tried cycling P2 cards through both camera slots, and it appears to be an issue with the top P2 slot on the camera and not an issue with an individual P2 card. Using the disk utility to mount the one card isn't that onerous of a task, but I'm worried that it is a symptom of a possible hardware issue. Does this sound like a possible defect with the camera, or a known quirk?
