P2 cards & sleep, standby or hibernation

I have my new ultra portable and the new E series 64 and the new HPX170. I'll be running and gunning deep in the woods with battery management issues. What are the dangers of any of the above named modes when I have the P2 card mounted.

I may not want to wait to do a full download before moving to the next location.

There's no physical danger, but it could mess up your transfer, certainly.

I'd get one of those monster spare batteries.

The monster battery was ordered earlier this week and arrives tomorrow, but my concern is not power, but time. If I'm downloading, and tearing down, it would be better to do the 2nd half when we arrive at the next location and are setting up.

Perhaps I'll have to do half the clips at one end and finish the 2nd half at the next one. Time to experiment.

If you're only doing partial transfers and are keeping an eye on it, there shouldn't be any problems.
