P2 cards + Mac

I havent tried yet, but it looks like our G4 Macbook Pro - the slot on the side is too small for the P2 card to fit into. Do i need to buy a special piece of hardware to import my P2 cards from the HVX? Please let me know asap.

There is no such thing as a G4 MacBook Pro, I'm assuming you mean the Intel Core Duo (or Core 2 Duo) MacBook Pro... and NOT the Powerbook G4

If you are using the MacBook Pro, yes you'll need the duelsystems adapter if you want to dump P2 cards using only the laptop (and the adapter)

Only the old Powerbook G4's had the PCMCIA card slots, the new MacBook Pro's use a smaller slot called an "expresscard" slot.

is there any other way than the duelsystem adaptor? because it doesnt ship for another 3-4 weeks?

You can mount the cam as a firewire device, buy a p2 store, a FS-100, or use a powered firewire hard drive to offload.
