P2 cards and labelling in FCP

we are having a hard time with our p2 cards and lebelling them in FCP.
it seems that our method is more difficult than it should be?

any ideas would be awesome.

We have a very simple system- each p2 card gets a name- like CamA-Card01-depending on the size of the shoot. Then we put a slice of red tape on a card the moment it gets ejected from the camera and switch on the erasure prevention tab. When the card is fully ingested and verified and a note made of the name of the card, the tape and prevention tab are removed and the card is ready to shoot again.
