P2 card will not mount

Hello all -

I'm trying to mount an 8GB p2 card directly into a Mac G3 laptop via the card slot without any success. The OS is 10.3. However, I was able to successfully mounted the same card onto a G4 with a 10.4x OS with no issues. Is there an OS compatibility issue here?

Have you installed the P2 Card drivers on the G3? I don't know if P2 will work with a G3 or not, but if you haven't installed the drivers then it definitely won't work. :)
 
I didn't install the drivers, but didn't do this on the G4 either. I suppose I should install them on the G3 for starters, ehy? I'll let ya'll know. Thanks!
 
Wait, duh...I did install drivers on the G4 when I rented gear a couple weeks ago. Hmm, that must be the issue. Memory lapse (me I mean).
 
Problem solved. It was a driver issue. Thanks guys.

Are there any additional issues that you've read, related to an older OS (or G3)? My workflow depends on two laptops.
