p2 card reader for mac pro?

Where do I find the drop box folder? Never heard of that.

Also, does that mean two full transfer steps? If so then I'd probably keep doing what I do now, which is to attach the FW 800 drives I use to the PB and copy to them via FCP, then reattach the drives to the G5. Somewhat of a hassle, but not a biggie.

Ted, Yep that's what I would do, and that's what I'm doing via my windows lappy in the field to a 750gig ext.
One day there will be a simple card reader , it's just a matter of time. or, the price of the 5card Pana readers will come down to a price point that many more P2 users can/will afford. Not everyone is a broadcaster or has large budgets or can justify the cost.
Cheers from downunder

Thanks for your input on all of this, Tom.

Not certain why Apple should put the cardbus II slot back.

Most if not all PC laptops are moving to EX/34 and 54 slots. Cardbus II slots are certainly declining over all.

I know some companies still use them, but I believe that eventually new PCs won't have them any more.

Anybody remember the floppy disK?

Hi Ted,
Yes it is nice in my region to be able to jump in your car, as i did today, cut down 460 Kilometres and shoot a Piece for our National Broadcaster (ABC) and enjoy it.
You can see some Pics of my region on my web site.
I was a metro dweller till the late 70's, then decided to go rural, not the Metro Income in the "bush", but a much more satisfying lifestyle. and in most cases we haven't got kangaroos hoping down our streets, that's just the tourism spin.
:dankk2:

Cheers
