P2 capture scratch disk issue

I have a Macbook pro and have always designated my external drive as a scratch disk. Yesterday my system drive suddenly filled up and I found that P2 captures are being put into a scratch disk folder on the system drive. Is there a special P2
scratch disk setting that I am missing and if so, where is it?

If you trashed your preferences by accident, that may have changed your scratch HDD.

But no, there is no special setting for log and transfer scratch HDD.

My external drive is still listed as scratch disk in the settings - and yet, I can capture something and find the file in the system drive folder. Anyone have any ideas?

You may have a corrupted project file. Perhaps create a new project and re-set scratch disks and than log and transfer.
