P2 audio in final cut

I have dont my homework and been researching all day but i think i have been at the computer for way to long....and have not slept in a while.

My question is that in final cut pro hd i have my p2 footage imported in and my video is fine but i have no audio for some reason.

Now when i watch the regular quicktime file i have audio but when i import it in to final cut i have no audio....

any help would be great.....

What are you setting in the import p2 volume modal box, and with what version of FCP?
