P2 200A and Redrock Micro m2E setup workflow FCP6 HELP!!!

I just bought the m2e adapter for my P2 Camera...I've read through several forums about Iris etc
and still don't know what is correct...

1) should my P2's Iris be open and only adjust the lens iris or is it a back and forth operation?

2) Do I shoot 1080i or 1080i/24p? I tried to shoot the latter, imported into finalcut (w blkmagic card)
and couldn't find the correct sequence playback combo. final product is going to DVD for projection
on screens. We've been shooting 720/30p and it is pretty flawless...I have several 64g cards to
shoot on so storage isn't a prob.

3) what would be the presets or easy open set for FCP6?
we tested out and had a hell ova time getting to see it...transferred ok, but couldn't see live action in timeline...tried a whole bunch of presets...AUGH!

4) is there a black stretch function I should know of?

the format you shoot in has nothing to do with the redrock. it's just a matter of what format you want.

as far as the iris goes, use your 35mm lens iris to control DOF. most people leave it wide open to get the shallowest possible. then use your ND's and your iris on the P2 camera to control exposure.
