Overriding "please attach lens message"

Hey everyone,

I just got a Japanese GH-1 and it won't let me take any pictures video and instead gives me a screen that says "Please ensure that a lens is attached". Of course, I am using a Minolta to micro 4/3 lens adapter so there isn't any direct electronic contact to the sensor. Does anyone know a way to override this or experienced it on their camera?
 
Make sure the adapter is firmly attached to the camera body. And go into the menus and choose the "shoot without lens" option.
