Over & Under Cranking with the 7D?

Someone told me that there is a way to shoot slow and fast motion with the 7D. Something about using 720 and changing the 30 to 60 or vise-versa. Any thoughts?

In-camera undercranking is unnecessary considering any modern NLE can drop frames in the timeline to effectively lower the frame rate. Shooting 60p however, is very important if you want to slow your footage down to 30p, 25p, or 24p. Results in much cleaner slow-mo.

Only partly accurate though. You can speed up footage, yes, but it's not possible to accurately simulate the blur you'd get from true undercranking. So it's still more accurate to shoot your low-fps footage in-camera, using a longer shutter speed, to get accurate undercranking.
