Outputing 720p to quicktime...

Is there a way to output 720p footage to quicktime in a 4:3 matte mode? I've played HD quicktime files in 4:3 players and it stretches them out making them look awful..

Help!
 
What's the source? 4:3 letterbox 720p would be a huge waste of bandwidth when you can easily make an unsqueezed 16:9 version. Just make a new sequence at 1280x720 and drop in your original sequence. Should automatically fit to fill.
