Can I output my FCP 6 (720/24pN) timeline to my hvx200 and see the footage on the LCD? If I can get the timeline to play in the camera I would like to then hook up a SD TV via the SVHS cable to monitor my work and see how it will look on a regular TV.

Thanks,
Dave

Yes- you connect via Firewire. Then switch to MCR mode, press the frame button and then the record/play buttons on top. You'll then be able to output directly from the FCP timeline to a P2 card and record.

Really? I thought you needed Raylight to go back to a card. I'm also curious about this frame button. I have a screening tomorrow of a 9 minute piece and I would love to be able to play back from the HVX in HD via component.

It's actually called the AUDIO DUB/ THUMBNAIL button. Press that and then go into record. If you are connected via Firewire and playing out with all frames on you'll have your edit on the camera.
