Original HVX200 vs. HMC150

I am having trouble finding a footage comparison from the two cameras. I am surprised no one has done a test yet, shooting the same subject.

Strictly from the image perspective, which camera HVX200 or HMC150 is better?

Depends on what you mean by it.

The 200 has a more robust codec (with better color) and more image-manipulation tools. The 150 is a bit faster and a bit less noisy the lower the light is.

But overall, they're pretty similar.

In my testing, the DVCProHD cams seem to encode to DVD better than the AVCHD HMC150.

I should mention, under film conditions (i.e. plenty of professional lights) Perhaps there is a bias, but on the HMC150 boards, everyone is more or less unanimous that HMC produces a better image.
