Ordered in the UK

This is the part I start to get nervous, I haven't been called yet by my dealer :(.
By the looks of it England seems to be getting its shipment first in Europe, has anyone else in Europe been called by his\her dealer?

I heard that European distribution is handled through Germany so I thought that zee Germans would get their cams first, weird..and I won't even comment on Panasonic's European Web site product and forum pages..according to the web site we're probably still in mid-2005..
 
Oh no! Just got word back from CKE. Panasonic rang them and said the delivery would be tomorrow not today, but that's not the bad news. Bad news is that the Firestore isn't ready and they don't know when it will be. CKE are getting back to me later on after Panasonic have got back to them with regards to possibly another deal.

Thing is 4gb P2 cards haven't had the same price drop in the UK as in the US yet - I'm reluctant to buy P2 media that's going to plummet in price within weeks.

Now if they were offering 2 8gb P2 cards plus P2 Store for the same price that would interest me.
 
WooHoo it arrived late wednesday night and I've just received it this very morning.......I think I've just cum (sorry). I'll update later as I spend time playing with myself, sorry I meant the camera............
 
Mine is sitting there waiting for me to pick up, but I am too busy to go get it till Monday. Pretty handy actually because H Prestons is in Malvern, and I have to go to Manhester in evening, and its about half way on the journey so works perfectly.

Prestons also have 4 gig cards, but they are not cheap and I think I will leave them for the time being and wait for the price to come down or buy a firestore.

I received an email giving the first week of April as the delivery date. The dealer said that they would deliver on a first-come-first-served basis and that Panasonic Europe expects the HVX 200 E to be in short supply for several months to come.
 
Thanks for the reply ro_max, what you're saying actually confirms what my dealer is saying for some time now, I just thought that maybe we were having them a bit earlier, something that already happened in the U.K, we just need to wait a little more.
 
Apparently there's plenty about in the UK. All stores I've contacted have lots of HVX200's in-stock - no FS100's and limited P2 cards. Don't know how well stocked the P2 Stores are.
