Ordered HMC from B&H

Hardly. This was a B&H error. Don't blame UPS.

Huh? I've had this happen too, where a package sat for an extra day at the local hub, despite it arriving a day or two early. I believe he was stating in general UPS hasn't delivered early.

No kidding dude. I was responding to the other guy that said something to the effect of "sometimes packages show up earlier than the scheduled delivery". That has not been the case for me. It has nothing to do with B&H. Realistically there's no reason why my 150 shouldn't be in central Illinois by Friday, however UPS will take their time and it will be here Monday.

It's not a complaint, it's an observation.

UPS will sit on a package if it is not scheduled to be delivered until later. But a lot of factors come into play such as volume and other packages that are time sensitive.

Since Monday at noon, my B&H contact has continually assured me I would have it "tomorrow". He said it Monday, then he said it Tuesday, and said it again today.

Same here, I made a few calls this week and got the later today or tomorrow run around...

Just got off the phone with them... I at least got credited for the 2-day AIR shipping... That's besides the point, I wanted 2 day air...

I had a combined order with the camera on back order, so they said the shipping for my memory card was 2 day air (I got it last week) and my camera that comes in stock they can use whatever shipping they want...

I was under the impression from what i read when checking out... when i chose the "send whats in stock now, and then send the back order when its in stock" they would use the same shipping method.

I believe if a package is at your local UPS store you can pick it up if you call them. I did this once. All you need is an i.d.

That's if you can't wait. ;)

i ordered my HMC from b&h after much debate(considering other resellers "lower" prices), but after reading all the threads and seeing that they have the best reputation, i decided to order from them. even though vidinc.com offers it for about $50 cheaper. and since i could not find enough posts to vouch for them before the deadline i decided to order from them so i could receive the battery+8gb card rebate. i have confidence in my choice to go with a trusted seller of panasonic products. ordered it on the 31'st and went with the free shipping. the expected delivery date is next wed. but i plan on picking it up from the ups hub since they lag!
Hope everyone receives them in time for the rebate!

I got mine today and it's AWESOME! My wife teases me because half my enjoyment of getting a new camera is opening the box and pulling it out for the first time. Anyone else experience this??

Little concerned though... the receipt says Order Date 3/17/09 and Invoice Date 4/1/09... Panasonic will go by the Invoice Date, correct?

Now I just need to get a bunch of 16gb cards, extra batteries, fisheye lens, new case, brighter lights, and a ton more hard drive space. But, other than that, I'm ready!!

Thanks,
Dan

2. Return this completed form, including the UPC code / serial number label from the carton, along with a copy of your invoice
with the purchase price circled. IMPORTANT: You must cut out and include the original label from the carton, which includes
the UPC code, model number and serial number, or your claim cannot be processed.

All you need is the invoice itself, and the purchase date is what matters. Not the invoice date. So you're good to go Dan. Just make sure that rebate envelope is postmarked by 4/15!!

Hey Dan, im the exact same way as you. I love opening the box, and then WALLAH! the camera :D, My family laughed at me when I grabbed it and turned and smiled...

My wife laughs too, a lot. But, I'm a happy camper regardless. She keeps calling it a "toy," and I correct her and call it a "tool." But, it's really both!

I think I'll be carrying mine around the house.....at the dinner table....to the bathroom....to bed at night. (keep your minds clean, perverts.)

I've been waiting for a nice cam like this for what seems like forever now.:)

Hi 408Filmer...congratulations on the purchase...take a look at the thread for purchased at vidinc.com if that helps...I just send out an email to our previous customers who have bought the HMC150 from us and received the cameras to rate our store with Yahoo as well as Reseller Ratings.com since it seems like alot of the folks here refer to it alot...

UPS Says its 'Out for Delivery'!!! Few more hours.... then my lonely 16GB cards will be united with its master!

::muhaha::

Congratulations! I got mine Friday and have barely gotten anything "productive" done since. I'm trying to keep busy in the afternoons so that by the time evening rolls around, I'm free and can capture outside when the lighting is best: sunset. :)

Haha, same here... I got it yesterday and put this together in a few seconds last night... http://vimeo.com/4045080

I had some issues with Vegas 8 Pro, it kept crashing when I would click on the file to import... had to get the 'c' update for the AVCHD editing abilities... I was thinking a new computer would be required, but my little Core 2 duo wasn't to bad..

Otherwise its everything i thought it would be and more... Just got to get 110% use to it.
