order Panasonic HMC150 from Vidinc.com?

I have nothing against VIDINC, I was just merely voicing my opinion here on the forums. Since I have been doing business with them, the line of communication has been strong and open the entire time. With these cameras in such demand it must be nearly impossible to keep them on the shelves. No doubt is it frustrating not having a camera when you need it but in no way is this the fault of VIDINC but more so the popularity of the camera and Panasonic not being able to keep up. From everything I have experienced thus far, they seem to be very honest and friendly company to work with.

Dear Kalapakiboogie,

I am sorry for the mis-understanding, but we have tried to make sure that every customers that placed orders for the AG-HMC150 were emailed with the stock status of the unit the very same day. We also tried to inform them the status of the arrival of the cameras from Panasonic with the best and complete information that we had at that time...

It is just unfortunate that we were given the wrong information from the Panasonic Factory about the availability for the units...I personally would rather be able to give to customers only ONE date and one date alone to work with so that they can base their decisions.

I want to thank you again for the opportunity to earn your business and I hope that you keep us in mind for any future A/V needs.

Hi Booggerg2,

To clear up some confusion, we had about 14 customers place orders with us and submitted their complete billing and shipping and credit card information for the AG-HMC150.

All of these orders were received and processed in the Month of March, which qualifies all of our customers for the Panasonic rebate of the free battery and 8gb sd card.

I hope that helps clarify.

We are in the business of trying to supply users like the ones on DVXuser with the equipment that they need at the best price possible and with the best customer service possible.

Now I know who I'll be buying my gear from.
:)

I went with Vidinc and just got my 150 today. Fantastic service throughout the ordering process.

Upon first ordering the camera, I knew it wouldn't be in stock for a few days. Upon hearing of a delay, Vidinc immediately contacted me with an email detailing the new projected arrival date.

Although the date was changed once more (through no fault of Vidinc), my shipping was upgraded to free 2nd day air. To top everything off, their price was unbeatable.

Also, everyone I dealt with at Vidinc was much friendlier than the three people I spoke with at Adorama and the two I dealt with at B&H. YMMV, but I'm can't recommend them enough.

Good to see things go right with this stuff. I check resellerratings all the time when dealing with a new company. It still amazes me that these crooked operations still keep going. Like that Sonic Camera people. In over 300 reviews, not ONE positive one. They had a .80 percent positive out 10. Amazing.. and I think it's just sad that their are loopholes where they can start a company... then close it.. start another one up.

What a load of crap to sell a cam and then say the lens isn't included.. which would mean that they chopped it of with a hacksaw. De-regulation isn't a great thing at all!

I agree. This is a quote of the email I sent to Vidinc few days ago:

"This is the first time that I purchased items from your company. I am very impressed with your prompt communication and overall outstanding customer service "

I've lurked on DVXUser for a long time, especially lately reading the HMC150 posts, but just wanted to add my comment on VIDinc (Houston)...

I've rented cams from them a bunch of times while "inbetween" wedding cameras, and they were always VERY helpful. The first time I rented they went way above and beyond to get me a camera during hours they were closed...on a wedding day/Saturday! They hooked me as a rental customer that day, and whenever I can manage to scrape up the cash for an HMC150, I'll for sure be giving them a call to see if they have one in stock and if they can get close to B&H's crazy low price...if it means I can buy it in person and not have to wait for shipping. I really want an HMC150!

I just found these guys on google while searching for prices on Mini DV tapes. Awesome prices! I may pick up an HMC 150 here (3200.) By the way Panny AMQ63's for my DVX100B are $3.89 here which is far and away the cheapest I've ever seen them. Shipping is supposedly free as well over 10 pcs, although my invoice says I got charged $16 for shipping. We'll see how they reply to the email I sent, with a link to the free shipping claim. I didnt see them in reseller ratings so came here to see what I could dig up.
