I just want to know if anyone here has ordered there HMC from vidinc.com
if so, how was the online ordering process? when was your ordered placed and when did it arrive? i am thinking about ordering from this site but first i want to know if anyone else has ordered and recieved there HMC150 from this site.
thanks!

I ordered one from them last week over the phone. They were out but expected 15 by tomorrow. At the time they had 7 of them spoken for. They said they would ship same day... Panny authorized. Others have had success with them. I was reluctant to stray to far from B and H .... just spreading the love.
Fingers crossed...

Just called them after that last post. Their new eta is Monday. The new rebate will be announced tomorrow.

Hey VIDInc, I'm just curious as to how long you guys have been in business? I know resellerrating.com isn't necessary the defining factor in determining a companies reputability, but those reviews by past customers are beneficial in alleviating any fears that a customer isn't throwing their money into the abyss. Do you guys go by a different name on resellerating.com or haven't been around long enough to have been listed on there?

Thanks VIDInc. That's good to know that you guys are an established and legitimate business. Resellerratings.com is a pretty decent barometer in judging whether a business operates along the lines of a "Bait & Switch" mentality.

I ordered from vidinc and recieved my camera with no problem, they have the best price on the web for the 150.

Vid Inc HMC150

Vid Inc HMC150

I ordered from Vid Inc on March 19th and they said they were in stock. I was then told that they were no longer in stock and they were getting some very soon. They then told me I would have one by this Friday (April 3). They then broke there promise and told me that they would have it to me by next Friday (April 10th). But now they are telling me that I will not have the camera until the 13th or 15th of April. This is very frustrating due to being mislead and being told that the camera was in stock when it wasnt. I must say though everytime I have called or emailed them, they have always been very nice.

Same here kalapakiboogie. I actually cancelled my order because I needed the camera sooner. I found a great place in queens that had one left and matched b&h's price for me so I picked it up myself yesterday. The vidinc guys were always very nice but I just couldnt keep waiting.

Tony, glad to hear you got away with one before they all disappeared off of the Earth. One good thing about waiting for VIDINC is that I will still be eligible to get the battery and memory card rebate because they are adjusting the invoice for me. I just have to make sure that I send it out on time!!!:) Cheers.

adjusting the invoice? damn you mean if you purchased after 03/31, it would still indicate you purchased before 03/31?

well basically what they are doing is just making sure my card was charged during the correct rebate time period. I ordered the camera a few weeks ago so they are just making sure that they charged my card before the end of March so I can still get the Panasonic battery and memory card because it is the better rebate (IMO). However, because of all the trouble and delay, they offered to adjust the invoice and recharge me for a later date if I wanted the new rebate. I told them I wanted the earlier one so more than likely they will just leave it as is so I am technically still eligible to get the battery and the card, as long as I turn it in on time. Cant wait to get this thing in my hands. Im tired of fighting over the one HVX and small collection of P2 cards my school has available for the entire film department.:)

Sorry to chime in so late but I've rented and bought everything I own from vidinc. As I live here, I don't have to worry about delivery. I didn't get any rebates or any freebies either, and they still gave me a great deal on the camera! They're really good about keeping their word and making sure what they say is what you get. They also have a really cool deal on rentals that allows the entire weekend to count as one day (rental houses don't really do that here in Houston, not for HVX's and the like- $250.00 with cards, bag, and Bogen/Manfrotto tripod systems for 3/4 days... c'mon!). I don't work for them or anything, but they have saved me hundreds of dollars on every production I have worked.

Finally another person who can vouch for Vidinc, I thought they were great to work with. I guess I was lucky when I ordered because they had plenty in stock. Although I might have had a little to do with the shortage problem since I went on here and other places spreading the good news about them.

kind of shady that a seller would adjust invoce date to tailor it to a certain rebate...

Well, they're not off billing or anything. When the DVX 100B was on back order, they didn't readjust offers based on the suppliers lack of stock. They honored the offers that were in effect when the purchase orders were made. Their stock is ordered regardless and has to come directly from the manufacturer which takes time in fees and customs (I still have my box which has the original shippers lable on it- Japan to Houston), so here's a ethical question (not condescending what so ever, but honestly posed to the group)... should distributors halt sales until stock arrives and adjust their offers based on the current- well, offerings? Now, if they were offering to do that and giving discounts and credits at the end of this month for last month... that's another thing.

Dear Kalapakiboogie,

I am sorry for the mis-understanding, but we have tried to make sure that every customers that placed orders for the AG-HMC150 were emailed with the stock status of the unit the very same day. We also tried to inform them the status of the arrival of the cameras from Panasonic with the best and complete information that we had at that time...

It is just unfortunate that we were given the wrong information from the Panasonic Factory about the availability for the units...I personally would rather be able to give to customers only ONE date and one date alone to work with so that they can base their decisions.

I want to thank you again for the opportunity to earn your business and I hope that you keep us in mind for any future A/V needs.

Hi Booggerg2,

To clear up some confusion, we had about 14 customers place orders with us and submitted their complete billing and shipping and credit card information for the AG-HMC150.

All of these orders were received and processed in the Month of March, which qualifies all of our customers for the Panasonic rebate of the free battery and 8gb sd card.

I hope that helps clarify.

We are in the business of trying to supply users like the ones on DVXuser with the equipment that they need at the best price possible and with the best customer service possible.
