one try timelaps in Japan

Hello, Ì´m going to Japan soon and will have an overnight stay in the tallest building in Nagoya - so I´m planning to film a timelapse during the night - there is pretty much light in the city - which framerate (maybe 2f with frameratehack?) and settings would you recommend? Any tips (I´ll have only one try).

Thanks

Work it out based on how long you want the timelapse to be. Find out when dusk and dawn are in Nagoya on the date you are there, and include an hour before and after that in the recording.

Since you are in a hotel room, put the camera on AC power using the AC adapter/charger so that you aren't limited by battery capacity and can get some sleep. (c8

I would record the whole thing using a scene file optimized for low light, i.e. use B PRESS gamma and NORMAL matrix. Use manual focus so the camera won't hunt for focus when there isn't much to focus on. Decide whether auto iris control is desireable -- arguments can be made either way. Give some thought now to how you will deal with light reflecting off the window from inside the room, a towel around the lens hood should provide a decent seal.

Hey,
Use the 2 frame/sec hack with a 350° shutter.....I've filmed quite a few timelapses with this setting....works really well. The 350° shutter works to blur any movement and also allows you to shoot at night with minimal light. Auto Iris. and use the ND to get the iris with enough each side to open and close for any light changes.
