Once fine Canon T2i (and HV20) Videos are glitching badly on my computer.

I have went back to look at some old videos and when I play them back they are showing major glitching problem during playback that I've never seen before. I noticed this originally on my old HV20 movies....thinking maybe the tape head needed to be cleaned, but looking at the T2i clips stored on my computer that I never saw glitch before has me scratching my head.

What is wrong and how do I fix it? Thanks!

What kind of computer? Maybe it needs some AV software, or a general cleanup/restart? Can you view the files on another pc? Good luck.

It's an Acer Quadcore. I will have to check the specs, but I never noticed any problems like this til recently. It started when I was reviewing old HV20 videos and kept seeing major glitches. Then I started looking at old T2i videos I had in my folders and they too glitch like crazy......a lot of it too! However, my newer T2i videos don't seems to show any glitching....just the older ones. Might try a restart and see if that helps. Thanks

Just a quick guess but sounds like your drive has filled up and is slowing down. Could be a lot of things thought. Here we go.

1) what kind of hard drive are you running off of? speed? and type? external? firewire? usb 2.0 (hopefully not)
2) what program are you using to view?
3) why an Acer?? (just kidding...no I'm not)
4)did you install any new software that might be causing this?
