Onboard Mic or Shotgun?

Shooting with the A1 for the first time tonight. Basically, I'm shooting a walking tour of a hotel in Toronto... The only audio will be ambient. I've got a Rode NTG-2 I can strap on, or I can use the built in mic, which looks like it will catch more from more directions... Which would you use?
 
This is probably too late but I'd use the onboard mic which is quite good and natural sounding if the conditions are not too difficult e.g. loud, distant etc.

I actually don't like the NTG-2 anyway, to me it sounds like listening down a long cardboard tube! You must use a cradle like the Rode SM5 for plug in mics or you'll get handling noise too.
