ON THE LOT submission - "Malcontent" horror film

Hi dvx friends

Here is my submission to OnTheLot. It's the first five minutes of a horror film I have been working on for months.

All outdoor shots were done with natural lighting, a bounce board. Indoor shots on staircase was done with a green lightbulb, and the metaphorical scene was done with a 300 watt lowell spot.

i will post the final 20 minute short film when it is completed, but since there are a lot of visual fx in this movie I dont expect it to be done anytime soon.

Great opening shot!
I thought the girl over acted a little - not that the role doesn't call for it, but i felt it was too theatrical rather than filmic.
The shots in the outdoor scene were well composed, again, but visually I thought it was lacking something interesting. Maybe it was the location. Was it an overcast day? I noticed the direct sunlight kept going out and the color would change.
Good job overall, good luck with the contest!
