On camera lighting

This may have been asked before but i couldnt really find anything on it. Does anyone recomend a lighting kit for the XH A1. I am getting more and more into filming weddings and from time to time I need a light. Also, if you are in the same line of work have you had clients complain about the brightness of the light coming from the camera setup, and if it was annoying to work with.

i have the smith victor 950 at the moment. its a 100watt and i definitely get the looks from the brightness of it. I use it because during the dances, they like dimming lights to a bare minimal where only the human eye can do well. The only down fall to my light is i have to carry this 10lbs battery to power it.

Soon i will be looking into the Litepanel solution.

That looks really interesting. Never heard of it before, but it looks fantastic. No need for gels? Even more interesting! When purchasing my next on-camera light, I'll be sure to consider Zylight.

Yes. I own a Zylight Z-50 myself. I know the new Litepanels micro is out as well. Look into it and definitely watch that review video that David posted.
