Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 17mm 1:2.8 Pancake Lens

Here are some test shots using the GH1 shot at Austin's Veloway bike path. All shots were taken with the kit lens except where noted (shots taken with the Olympus 17mm "Pancake" lens).

All shot 1080/24p.
Log & Transfer into FCP.
No Color-Correction added.
Output to ProResHQ sequence.

I've been using the Olympus 17mm on my GH1 for a week now, like it a lot and haven't found any GH1 auto functions that don't work yet.

Just bought the Zuiko 14-54mm f2.8 zoom today and will be testing it over the wkend. None of the auto functions on the GH1 seem to work so far - it's pure manual, but for the extra 1+ stops over the stock zoom lens I don't mind focusing and setting my own f-stop for cleaner low-light shots. Seems there are 9 electronic contact points on the 4/3 > M4/3 adapter (which you need for the Zuiko zoom but not for the Olympus 17mm) and 11 on the camera so that may explain why functions don't work.

Well, we are all on the GH1 learning curve - more later. . .
 
Nice. I was thinking of skipping this one and going with the 20mm f/1.7 but it's $100 more...now I am thinking of waiting for the 14mm f/2.8 next year.

I just got the Mark ii version of your lens - autofocus works perfectly. Not sure if you're willing to upgrade though.
