Olympus 45mm 1.8 opinions

Been thinking about getting an Olympus 45mm 1.8. I also have a couple of FD primes and really like their look, but I'm not fast-enough with the manual focus to get a lot of the street shots I want. Generally I take my Panny Pancake for street scenes but find it a bit too contrasty and punchy for my taste. Will the Oly 45 be similar? Anyone have any information on its optical qualities yet?
 
Thanks and yeah, I guess I'm asking more for specific comparisons between the Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 and the Olympus 45mm f/1.8.
