olympus 35-100

hello,
just got a used olympus 35-100 lens. it is not working on the AF100. i think i have to do an update of the lens. how i am going to do that. is it correct that i have to download a zipfile from the olympus site and than transfer it via SDcard to the AF100 with the lens on?
please help

I think your AF also has to be running the latest firmware update on the camera for the lens update to work properly.

ALSO NOTE! when shooting with the 35-100 lens you definitely want to have "lens check" on. The lens will work with lens check off but it doesn't work nearly as well as it should.

Interesting. In what way doesn't it work as well?
 
From what i have seen, with lens check off the lens is less sharp than with lens check on. YOu can be fooled because the lens still seems to focus, but its definitely not as sharp.
