Oly 17mm f2.8 pancake - reasonably fast/wide prime?

It's physically possible, but the kind of money it takes to make good optics that wide and that fast start to get in scary territory very fast. I don't know if I've seen an 14mm that fast, but there are Zeiss Super Speed 18mm lenses as fast as f/1.2 - man one of those would be sweet!

Go here to see the Zeiss lens range for cinematography. For one of those wide angle superfast beasts, I don't think you would get too much change from $40,000.

what about 14mm

I'm well aware of the 18mm as I have one on my couch
