Where can I buy a Canon t2i? They're sold out on BHPhotovideo... any other reputable online source? Would I get the same price if I go to a store?

Try CameralandNY.com. They don't list a price for the camera, but give them a call and ask for Joel. No hard-sell - great prices, great service.

Bestbuy.com has them, with kit lens $899.99 and it says that they are available. I bought mine on there. Body only, for $799.99 is sold out on-line.

Would you rather buy it with the kit lens or body only? If I went body only, what would be the first lens you would buy?

I bought it with the kit lens. There is a lot of smack talk about that that lens out there, but I found it to be a pretty good lens, FOR THE PRICE. I am now buying vintage Nikkor prime lenses for it. I like them a lot, and being designed for FF35mm film, I think their is a certain amount of "Future proofing" in buying them. I don't want to spend a lot of money tricking out a video DSLR right now. For a few hundred dollars I will have a set of Nikkor manual primes that will hold me for a while. I kind of want to see what shakes out, camera-wise, in the next year. Though I may pick up that Tokina 11-16 zoom, if I can find some where to buy it. That lens is pretty unique, it seem to me. Wide lenses for APS-C sensors are hard to come by and that one seems to have great reviews.

Yeah, same thing here. Don't expect it to behave like a Zeiss and you'll be happy with it. Great lens for the price.
