what do I need to know when using this camera at a wedding. so far I know I may need to be shooting at 60i regardless. gonna be shooting at 720p also to save memory space. 7d will be used for B roll and artsy montage shots, so I shouldn't worry too much about overheating. what do you guys got for me?

720/60 is always progressive (thus no i). I am not sure it is going to save you much space (it is typically used for slow motion shots). Why not just shoot 1080p 29.97 or 23.976??

Format should be dictated by your "A" camera anyway.

I'm not sure you are really saving space by shooting at 720p. 60 FPS and the same bit rate, file sizes will be more or less the same. If you have steadicam and good tripod use 24 fps, if not use 30. Don't forget the 180 degree rule, 24 fps use 1/50 unless indoors with flickery lights then 1/60 30 fps 1/60 , and of course 60 fps 1 /125.

Yea, no space savings. Same bit rate. Pretty much everything thepeicesfit said.

I find for live events, I can turn up the shutter speed faster than I can stop down for lighting situations (especially when there can be no cut in the action) so I use higher shutter speeds usually. If you have the option to stop recording, change and record, I'd stop down for sure.
