Locations: Brooklyn, NY, Toronto ON
We filmed for 2 days in New York and the New York crew was excellent. It was my first time shooting in NYC and the rules there are very different from Atlanta or Houston. I ended up renting equipment from my most awesome gaffer: Daniel Choy Boyar.
I definitely recommend him for anyone looking to shoot in NYC. He comes with his own equipment (also provides grips) and works very efficiently... makes all the pretty picture look prettier.
Second half of the shoot was in Toronto... and was right in the middle of the transit strike, so my big crowd scene... well it went away. Toronto Gaffer and grip was Tony Ranieri. Different rules in Toronto as well... less gaffers with their own equipment.
