Ogio Ty Video Bag - rememberdelware.com

Anyone ever try to buy products from rememberdelware.com?

They were listed as a recommended on-line dealer by ogio so I went to them to purchase the Ogio Ty video bag. Ordered last Thursday and they still have not shipped despite their site saying they had 10 in stock and would ship in 24 hours. I got a really good deal on this bag (less than $130) so I was hoping they would ship

I called them this morning and they told me that suddenly none were in stock despite the web page still showing it as being in stock. They tried to switch me to another bag and said the Ogio will not be available till Jan 2. I told them I wasn't interested and wanted the Ogio. They cut off the conversation and I haven't been able to reach them since.

Should I be concerned about this site? Resellerratings.com has no information on them and ogio lists them as a on-line dealer.

Can anyone recommend me a good place to buy the ogio bag?

sorry to hear about your bad experience. I don't know the seller, but just wanted to chime in and say the ty bag is the greatest camera bag i have ever owned. I've been through a lot of them and this thing keeps on ticking, very rugged and a great layout design. You will be happy you held out for one and didn't settle for anything else

i got mine off ebay, one of the buy it now's. its an ok bag, i liked the build of the lowepro bags better, just they dont come deep enough for the hvx.

bikefilms, thanks for the link. Do you have a direct link to the ogio bag? I searched the site but wasn't able to find it.

I have the Ty bag and the Cinebags DV-20. I have carried my HVX all over the world in both. The layout of the Ty is excellent. The fit and feel of the Cinebags is much nicer. The Ty carries a lot more but it's like putting a mildly padded brick on your back, very little padding and the straps are not the most comfortable.

If you are carrying the Ty on luggage carts and just short distances, it's fine and huge. But if I had to hike all over a country carrying it, I would get the new Cinebags DV-22, it's the new version of the DV-20, it's the same except it can carry a laptop like the Ty. The Cinebags are much more comfortable if you are really going to be a mule and hike to a lot of locations and carry the bag a lot.

Can the Cinebags CB-22HD fit a 17" laptop? The site say 14" but I wonder if a 17" can fit comfortably.

That TY bag is crap. Mine just blew apart. Literally- the zip blew out. The shoulder straps are cheap. The inside compartment only has velcro on certain parts so it's not fully adjustable. For it's size you can put a lot in there which can make it heavy and the waist belt is terrible for support. I guess for $130 I shouldn't expect too much. I guess if the zipper was still working this bag would be ok- I just think for a little more money you can buy something way better. I'm a big fan of Ty's work and I generally like anything his name is associated with- it's too bad his name is on this one.

I would love to touch these bags first hand but not many stores carry them around me.

Is the ty bag really that cheap in quality? Is the CB-22HD much better? The only thing pulling me away from the CB22HD is the amout of space in the TY bag and also the ability to put a 17" laptop in there.

I have the bag and it is pretty nice to work with, but I must warn you about the inside that they just don't show on the website... The inside has a "skate fairy" pattern everywhere and there's a picture of a skull with butterfly looking wings on the back panel near the top of the bag. I'm not a fan of that type of look and I don't think it looks very perfessional. Just my opinion.

Not sure, but based off of the exterior size of the bag I have seen at EVS, probably not. You can ask EVS or call CineBags directly, they are in Glendale and do answer the phone when I have dealt with them before.

i just wish lowepro would make a bag just a bit bigger than the nature trekker. its fits the dvx real snug, but the hvx is just a bit too bulky for it. i've been fairly nervous about the ty bag. i keep a lot of stuff in my bag, its pretty much packed full. i've been nervous of the zipper blowing out, but i had not heard of anyone blowing one out so i felt a bit safe with it. not now! i dont think that the dakine bags are much of an alternative for me, they look a bit shallow. when i look at the reload bag, the larger of the two, its pictured with probably a 1d in it. i assume the 1d, just because its the tallest of canons bodies. the 1d is just a tad over 6 inches in height. the hvx is about 7.25 inches in height, 7.75 if you leave the mic mount on. so almost a good inch and half of room needed. thats kind of a lot when you're talking about a bag that holds one of your most precious items. i'm probably going to get that kata bp-502 bag. its like $300 but it fits the hvx well and has a good laptop compartment.

i have been searching for the ultimate camera bag for the past 3 or 4 years and over the past while i've collected...

kata bp 502
great bag, fits hvx and bolex setup with accessories, lens with ease.
super comfortable straps, best of any bag i've had. almost perfect distribution of weight. kinda large for traveling, airports, or hiking in deep snow (gets heavy when fully packed), also more expensive than the other bags i have. i use this bag for carrying multiple cameras with tripod on side while snowmobiling.

dakine sequence
super good single camera bag, the inside camera block is a little tight for the hvx thou, fits a dvx or my bolex just fine, good straps, back entry (so i stuff won't fall out the back of the pack) has compartment for laptop, not padded.

burton zoom 28L
they changed the bag a bit this year, its similar size as the dakine sequence (back entry) but has a little big bigger camera compartment but still a little too snug for my hvx, added a laptop compartment which is nice thou, again fits dvx camera perfect.

dakine reload
my roomate calls this bag "packzilla." they stopped making it for a while but it back and its pretty good for the hvx, super deep, holds everything for the hvx, rectangle like shape, similar to ty bag, really good tripod straps, probably holds 17" laptop but not padded, also back entry but the zipper seems to be a point of stress after long use. hard to explain but if the zipper were to break (its a heavy duty zipper) the pack could open up and spill everything backwards! Scary, if they change that for 09 its a pretty solid bag.

burton fstop
zoom packs' big brother, i use this one the most, holds my hvx perfect with all accessories, and lunch too! good straps, good tripod support but not back entry, (i always make sure my zips are together at the bottom of the bag), fits on the airplane, big enough but not bp 502 kinda big.
