Offloading P2 to Mac via 1394-please help!

ok. i know i'm an ignoramus...

i'm trying to offload p2 onto macbook.

as i understand, i'm supposed to connect 1394 from hpx170 to mac. i can connect 6 pin side of cable into camera, but there is no 4 pin connection on mac.

can somebody tell me how i'm supposed to connect camera to macbook?

If this is a new Macbook just out, there is no Firewire port.

You have to use USB2 instead.

The older MacBooks have a six pin connector, so you need to go 6 pin to 6 pin for an older Macbook and the 170

i have an older mabook. i got a 6 pin to 4 pin (just the one given to me at the store). i didn't realize that there is a 6 pin to 6 pin 1394...
