They will not be.Curious if similar codecs the NanoFlash had (mxf, mpeg etc) will be in future firmware updates for the 7Q.
That is not correct. We will have some level of LUT support on the Odyssey7, but I am not sure at this time if it will be as deeply supported as it will be on the 7Q. There's a big difference between a 1D-LUT and a 3D-LUT.Is it confirmed that LUT support is only for the 7Q and not the 7?
We will have that answer - definitively - at NAB.Any idea when 7 is shipping?
im about to order the 7q for the fs700 now, has the 4k2HD 50p/60p prores mode been announced at NAB? any near update? Really need this feature for a shoot next month.

It may be awhile. First a bug fix is going to come out - hopefully by the end of next week and then 4K ProRes. The new ProRes variant requires Apples approval so don't hold your breath.Do not count on it, and your life will be better.
Where did you get that info? I've not heard anything from CD re bug fix timescales or anything more on further apple approvals for other prores variants. It may be awhile. 4K is the biggie. Very much looking forward to exploring how that can be used in interview setups too - how useful it might be for pan and scan, cropping etc in post.Bug fixes soon. Cannot say when for Apple ProRes 422(HQ) up to 50/60p, but it is in active development right now. It does not need Apple approval. 4K ProRes right after that. All quickly, we hope.

From an engineer at the booth.
I certainly didn't take it as that. As far as I know, no one has said 4k needs additional certification?Mitch said, ProRes 422(HQ) HD 50p/60p does not need additional approval. In other words: ProRes 4K needs to go for that.
Anyway, C.D. should do their very best to get 4K compressed recording rolling. That seems to be the most important missing feature right now.
