Odyssey Firmware 2015.11

Anybody find anything the update breaks?
So far: In DPX mode 2048x1080 4:2:2 seems to move to 'Unrecognized Format' above 30fps instead of going up to 60fps as manual says. 1920x1080 goes to 60fps as before.

Edit: Just typo in manual. Nothing wrong with firmware.

Hey Mitch,

Theres a new video on cd website about working with fs700 dngs in resolve but the mentioned bmf to slog2 LUT is nowhere to be found. Can you provide link to LUT?

Just typo in manual, nothing broken in the firmware. 2048x1080 works up to 30fps in DPX mode. 444 or 422.

I highly suggest all the FS7 and FS700 users check out Nick's new tutorials on our website. They show you how to logically and easily work with the files from your cameras recorded with the Odyssey, taking them through Resolve with minimal fuss. They also illustrate the power of our Compensation LUTs, which will really improve your camera's images.

Hi Mitch,
I remember clearly you mentionning that the 7Q would get the same updates and functionality than the 7Q+, except for the 4K over HDMI.
Looks like the 7Q just bit the dust on this update. Is it a sign of things not to come?

I really don't know what you're talking about. The new firmware applies to the Odyssey7Q+ and the Odyssey7Q equally. Nothing bit the dust here. To what are you referring?

Maybe it's just a formatting issue but I assume he's referring to the way the release notes are formatted it seems like all the new features and fixes fall under a 7Q+ only heading, including Dual Stream and LTC improvements etc...

I kind of assumed that was meant to read 7Q/7Q+ since a lot of those improvements don't apply only to 4K HDMI.

Anyone else see this problem in multi-stream monitoring mode - a pink digital noise line moving down and flickering over the top 1/3 or so of the screen. This happens every 10 seconds or so. Output from Sony PMW-350 in HD 1080 25P OR FS7 in HD mode. Happens irrespective of cable (tried van damme SDI cable and a CD SDI cable). It's ONLY on SDI A IN, SDI B appears OK.

Paul.

Understood. That's an error on my part. It should read Odyssey7Q+/Odyssey7Q).

Please inform cdsupport@convergent-design.com.

I will note that new firmware is coming on Friday for support of Apollo, so this may be addressed already.

That's right, two firmware releases in two weeks.

Ok, thanks! Pheww...
Can't wait to test the new features!

ARRIRAW 4:3 is currently not supported, but is expected to be in a future update. We have a long list of features still to go.

Just so you know: I put first money down on my O7Q in June of 2013 specifically because I needed ARRIRAW 4:3. It's been a very long wait!
Are you going to let the Atomos guys beat you in this area? They claim Q1 2016 ARRIRAW support... ;-)
