In another thread, I recently asked about an adapter that takes one 12G-SDI out and splits the feed into two 3G-SDI inputs.

Why the spec for the output of your camera is up to 12G-SDI, I believe that at this time it is not sending out anything above a 6G-SDI signal. Therefore this box is in fact compatible. The fact that it is from the same manufacturer certainly helps, as it is built to matching specs.
Convergent Design has tested using a Blackmagic Design camera outputting 4K over SDI and through this box to convert the signal into dual-link 3G-SDI. It works just fine.
For anyone questioning why one would want to bother to do such a thing rather than record internally on the camera, take a look at the cost per gig of their media is compared to ours, think about how much you may shoot and decide if this makes the investment worthwhile. Don't forget about all of the excellent monitoring functions we include as well."

I am having a difficult time choosing the right external recorder for a certain purpose.
I am looking to record RAW internally with dual CFAST 2.0 cards, but also have a ProRes backup recording to an external recorder.
I enjoy everything about the 7Q+, but it's recently come to my attention the Shogun may now be able to record UHD via SDI because of BM updating their SDI SMPTE Standard. Has anyone tried the Shogun at least with their BMPC in UHD?
I know that what I am attempting to do (for this job) may not be common, but any thoughts on the matter? Thank you.
