Odyssey 7Q Firmware 2.11.110

Cuervo, unfortunately Mitch has said before that they only give out updates on mondays or tuesdays. which means if its not released tomorrow we will have to wait another week for another chance.

Migosh, if everyone gets so excited about a C-D firmware release, I bet no one gets any sleep on Xmas eve....:-p

Hi Mitch, how about Time-Lapse feature for 4K Raw? Dan Keaton confirmed this in april.

april 2013?
^a little humor to hold us over for a few hours til next FW release
^^Double humor! :-)

Hopefully it does come out this week. Or next week. I'm really excited!

Gentlemen, there is a reason we no longer give precise dates. The firmware will be available soon and when it is, certainly you will be among the first to know.

4K timelapse is in our plans, but there is a lot of other stuff we need to get done as well. It is not in this upcoming update.

BTW, my "silence" on this board is often because I am occupied in other matters. Case in point: a holiday weekend with my family.

Anyone going to the ProFusion show in Toronto on Wednesday-Thursday? I'll be there with some Odyssey7 and Odyssey7Q units doing some interesting things (them, not me).

Is this going to be another kind of proof-of-concept stuff like IBC, demonstrating 4K ProRes? Hope, that our units can do all of these interesting things, very soon.

Honestly, I do not like the idea, that development is chasing another interesting thing (except ProRes 2160p50/60 as next step of course) instead of delivering a stable Firmware Release for the already-known.

I'm pretty sure they're working on it and are going to release it as soon as it's ready to release.

I'm all for them "chasing" interesting things. I know they can manage themselves and their time like adults.

I'm with you on this as I seem to remember a mention that 4K Pro-Res was being held up because of some new features. But I don't really care for new features, I would just like 4K Pro-Res. The only "feature" that would somewhat validate another delay is 4K 60fps Pro-Res, but I doubt that's happening.

I think that's why the FS7 has so much appeal. Most of the features are in camera and there's no real need for a 3rd party recorder that everyone has to wait and agonize over. One less link in the chain.

Mitch - mid-October is tomorrow (or half way through tomorrow). Do you still stand by your claim that you expect to release by mid-October? Or should we expect further delay?

In this day and age I expect a delay for everything until its in front of me in my lap.

... This includes a scheduled lap dance.

Come on guys, your giving Mitch the most unappreciative job in the business here.

You all bought a product that you knew was in development.
Ok, they should´t give people false expectations on dates and such, but this whining is getting old.

No. He said it was expected to be mid-October. No whining here. Just want to know if that's still going to be released when he said, after a delay.
