Occasionally, Craigslist Pays off.

LOL. That was evil! Perfectly evil!

I was just kidding about the legality issue, or lack therof.

Well mostly kidding.

I have a friend who shows up sometimes with some new bit of gear that he thinks I might have a use for and his answer is usually so benign, like clearance items from a store that's going out of business. You'd be amazed how many stores use Manfrotto Auto-Poles and Lightstands in their windows. Still it is useful stuff and now he has a little stockpile of C-Stands and flags.

I will have my revenge. I am laughing right now, and pissed at myself for falling for it.

You won't know when, where or how, but I will get even, dammit! May your tripod have one leg that will not lock.

LOL! I can't stop laughing. I was "gotten" fair and square. And it's not April but, yet, I was still fool'd.

This sucks.

But, of course, I am sitting here typing while wearing said body armor. There is something about wearing something that will protect you against anything upto and including an AK47. Bring it on! The K-Pots are missing the headbands, but a trip to the Military surplus will solve that.

On Yahoo! there are "FreeCycle" groups where people offer stuff free for the taking. I put together a hang-out room in our basement for my teenaged daughter and her friends for the cost of the gas to pick all the stuff up - an entertainment unit, a 19" TV, a stereo w/5CD changer, a DVD/VCR, a chair, a couch, a few lamps and some carpeting. I won't even get into all the crazy stuff I've gotten for Foley props. I've also found some nice stuff in Salvation Army and Good will stores like a really nice leather couch for $40.

Okay, I have been asked if I am interested in a "lot" buy. I am trying to scratch the money together with my investors. I got 6500 worth of gear for 240. And he has 2 tons of stuff, literally. I can make an amazing profit on this stuff, if I chose to.

Now to convince the investors.......errrr. Frustrating!!!!!!!
