Occasionally, Craigslist Pays off.

I just bought 5 real kevlar helmets, 2 new Interceptor bulletproof/Tactical vests (Military), a few ACU uniforms, a couple of backpacks, and a bunch of medical stuff from a guy on Craigslist.

240.00 dollars!

Lucky buy. The good stuff for me on craigslist usually shows up when I'm cash broke. I'll occasionally get some good deals but dude: damn!

I've gotten some insane deals on CL-LA and sold stuff there for a nice dollar.

Between DVXUser and CL it's like a high quality flea marke these days.

But you don't want to year the story of how I got my HVX200. Barry knows that one. Lol. I was suprised that the thing wasn't hot but it was totally legit.

I bought a pair for 1995 jet skis for $1500 each with a trailer on CL. Guy had taken perfect care of them for 13 years. And since they are old, much better than newer style jet skis.

Was a steal for me...considering new jet skis start at around 7k or 8k.

Wow, that's going to be a very interesting shoot, w3productions. Hmmm, need a guy that is very versed in ..... let's just say....stuff (including audio, video, and what my website says, but the real thing). I will bring both vests, one for you, and one for me.

Of course, I will need my passport.

Isn't the sale of body armor regulated/restricted?

But I get great deals on CL pretty regularly. You just have to look all the time. I got my Matthews 20' high rollers for 75 bucks a piece and my 19" sony production monitor for a hundred and change.

It is, if you are a felon or have been convicted of certain crimes. It follows the same laws pertaining to firearms here. I can buy body armor all day, if I have the money, in CA. Of course, I am not a felon, at least in action or conviction.

Hey now: those discounts rock when you can get them... and you're not willing to ask too many questions. Besides, sometimes a good deal is just a damn good deal for whatever reason...

... which usually happens to be somewhat illegal...

Level III, so very functional.

Rodney, I did ask the story behind this stuff, and it is very plausible. I now have access to a warehouse full of stuff that is out-moded by current military standards, but still extremely functional.

NEWS REPORT - DARING DAYLIGHT BANK ROBBERY
December 18, 2009 Upland Daily Bulletin

Police are on high alert after a daring daylight robbery of the
Upland Bank of America. Eyewitnesses say two men dressed
in military fatigues made off with nearly $250,000 in cash.

"It was like Fallujah in there" said one bank employee who
asked not to be identified "I mean, they had bulletproof
vests, helmets, the whole nine yards".

Gina Lowenstien was in line with her 5 year old daughter
when the pair burst in. "They kept yelling WHO RA, or
something like that, as they piled the money into their
backpacks. It was pretty scary"

Upland Police Chief Steve Adams asked for the community
to remain calm. When asked by reporters if he thought
the two would be caught quickly, he agreed, adding
"The kind of military gear these two were wearing is not
something you can easily get rid off. Anyone they try to
sell it to would immediately get in touch with the police.
I assure you, when we find this gear, we'll
find the perpetrators".

What are you trying to say? It wasn't me I swear! LOL, I haven't changed my location yet on my profile, I moved a few weeks ago. When I lived in Upland, I had a close relationship with Upland PD. I shot videography for the SWAT team, and they came over several times to "initiate" the new members of the team. It was funny to see the newbie's eyes go huge when they walked in to the armory.

But damn! I bet they stopped by my old place to talk to me. Wow! Sounds like I need to make a phone call to them.

But 250K? Damn! What bank? And, BTW, I just bought the vests today.

Edit: Location change done.

Just called Upland PD, the dispatcher laughed and said "No it wasn't you. It never happened. People are playing a joke on you."

Me, Myself & I, you are now on my list, LOL. Note to self: Google search first, then call to verify. I will get even. Errrrrrrr!

But good job! I bow to you. Steve Adams IS the Chief of Police in Upland. That is where you got me.

Revenge is a meal best served cold, painful and with lots of rusty and dull instruments.

Hi Doc. Glad you enjoyed it.

Sorry you ended up calling Upland PD. I didn't realize my joke was so convincing.

Luckily you have a good sense of humor. :)

Cheers.
