Thank you all for the feedback. I had to go and film a orchestra concert last Saturday still not knowing what to make of this soft focus issue with my DVX but surprisingly images came out pretty sharp. Of course I put the detail level at +2 just to test it out without anything certain but I am happy with how it turned out.
Interlace/Progressive might be the reason too because this grab was shot in 60i and the orchestra was shot in 30P. I'll post a few grabs later. Thanks y'll.
