Nuttin Bi*ch!

That has to be the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Great job. I would love to hear how it goes.

I guess comedy is subjective, but that's gotta be one of the most rediculous things I've ever seen. Totally unfunny, and the racial stereotypes aren't funny...they're just STUPID. Sorry Damon, but that SUCKED. :thumbdown

sorry but ı have the same idea with joshua. ıt was not so funny or maybe not my style. any way you did a work it is important maybe you should work with another scenarist. take care and go on

hmm, i like the honesty!

you said pitching to cable networks? Damn, I guess you can call out Lifetime & Oxygen Network.

On a visual side, I like the look you gave it.

Good comedy is always irreverent

ir·rev·er·ent

1. Lacking or exhibiting a lack of reverence; disrespectful.
2. Critical of what is generally accepted or respected; satirical: irreverent humor.

Sheesh...you people need to calm down. Really if thats the most overly racist sketch you've seen in your lifetime you don't own a TV. I've seen equally so-called "offensive" stuff on everything from SNL to The Chappelle show. Get off your high horses.

it's not the most offensive thing I've ever seen, but that doesn't change the fact that it's racist. Chappelle and SNL aren't exactly sites of great comedy. Furthermore, you don't have to be on high horse to see it as stupid.

I'm afraid I have to agree with jdsmith19. It was pretty freaking funny. Throw a fat white guy in there with a frying pan toating white girl along with some modified dialog and I would still find it funny.

Damon, care to share you camera and lighting setups?

Check out the production stills that are right underneath the clip and you can see his lighting setup.

As for the actual clip, I think that I may have found it more funny if I hadn't seen the SNL version of this back when Nut n' Honey was big. They did basicly the same thing minus the porn in the forground.

With that being said, I still think that it is a funny idea, but you might have a hard time pitching it as Nut n' Honey went out of style and it is not in the main stream any more. In general saterical comedy makes fun of stuff that is current, or still fresh in the minds of the general publc.

Oh, and great work on the product shot and on the box. I love how it says "Free gun"!

It acctually looked really good, the lighting was really great. Anything reguarding the plot sucked though-the parody referenced a 15 year old commercial (try something newer,) the pacing dragged on and the punchline had nothing to it-rather anticlimatic.

I think I see where you were going with it, but I just don't think it made it. Technically it looked and sounded good. I did like the free gun offer on the cereal box(that was funny)
I think it was very Chappelleish, but that may not be a good thing, since he has such a comedic style of his own. I think you guys have skills, but you might need to work on the sketches a bit more.

I remember the other clips for "Night Raider" and "Male makeup" posted a while ago. It's different (kinda), and I don't really care for it, but I did watch the whole thing so I guess it kept my interest.

I thought it had a definite Chapelle show vibe, but that's part of the reason I liked it. I love that kind of humor.

Even though the reference is 15 years old, there is a generation out there (mine specifically) that the "Nut N' Honey" commercials hold a special place in our memory. The generation before mine was "Mikey likes it" and before that was "Plop-plop-fizz-fizz". Here's another one I love from my generation--does anybody remember the Budweiser "I love you man"?

First of all Tibby, thanks for defining "good comedy" for me, but I think I have my own taste. I personally thought it was rediculous, lame and unoriginal. I wish I had my 2 minutes back. I never said it was the most "overly racist sketch" I'd ever seen. Not even close. It's just not my style. If it is yours, cool. But if anyone is on their "high horse", it is you. Damon put it up to get our opinion, and I gave mine. I wasn't trying to be hurtful, but I reacted strongly to it. I'm not telling you or anyone else here what to like and dislike, nor am I defining what "good" comedy should be. As I said in my post, comedy is subjective, and there is no magic definition. It's just an opinion.

to be honest, like someone else said, it's been done before.
Chris Rock did something like this called "Nigga Please"
and everyone wants to know what he's eating, you can guess what happens when he simply explains what he's eating.

Thanks for your feedback.

To those of you who get it, enjoy.

Wow, yes, thats quite obvious. Gee golly you sure schooled me. Now how about you get down from your soapbox and offer something constructive.

Yes everyone has there own taste. I have my own taste, you have your own taste, as a matter of fact, I'm sure you'd taste quite pleasant to a pack of rabid dogs.

Hmmm...now that would be a funny sketch...but it might not be to everyones liking. I know that I'd find it downright hilarious.

I guess it would be a matter of "taste"
