Briska is a new beverage due to be released in Sweden.



I guess I have to much time making BTS videos :)
Anyway it's great to have these short videos documenting our shoots. We all tend to forget and it helps to watch it again and remember how we solved things.

This BTS is for a new beverage "Briska" from Spendrups in Sweden. The actual commercial is once again a sponsorship this time for "Desperate House Wifes" and we try to get a similar look for some of the key characters in the show.

It took two whole days to shoot this one. From 8 AM to 7PM each day and it seams to be insane when the final result just gonna be 20 seconds...

My Canon 7D was used to shoot the commercial and I had my "B" camera - the GH1 to make this one.

What I really love about the GH1 it feels natural. I would say the 7D has a more filmic look to it but it's not as natural as the GH1. Love both cameras and that's why I have both.

I don't like tungsten, daylight is much better and most important more natural. These cameras love daylight!
 
love that dolly and the idea of holding the bottle like that in front of the camera!
can we see the final commercial from the 7d?
the gh1 did really well in the background, beautiful images!
 
I will post it tomorrow. Finished it this friday but hadn't time to upload the video.

The magic arm in front of the camera was after I did some test shoots in our pre-production.
I took a HVX200 and held a bottle in front of the camera sliding on a napkin on the bar desk.

I liked the final result but I would have edit it different had I done it myself. We had so many clips which the director didn't use.

after seeing your behind-the-scenes footage and watching the final commercial, i too probably would have edited it differently. it seemed to me that the original concept as you shot it does not quite match the final cut that is shown. i was expecting something a little different.
