What are your steps in normalizing C-log footage? I shot some test stuff last night with wide-DR and C-log and I like the looks of wide DR better, maybe the way I normalized the clips in CS6 may not be correct. What corrections do you make to bring the levels to where they should be with C-log footage?

Canon log records true black around 10 IRE, you need to move that to around 2-3 IRE, it clips white any where from 75% IRE to 109% IRE depending on ISO, you need to move that around 90-100 IRE. Middle grey can be recorded anywhere between 30-50 IRE depending on exposure but to normalize you should bring it back to 50. All of these parameters can and should be massaged to taste.

Thanks RZE, good info. I guess I should have read up a little more on where the recorded levels are at for each.
