Non-adhesive loupe on ebay

Does anyone have any experience with this kind of loupe:

The magnetic rim attaches to the bottom of the camera instead of adhesive on your display:

And it claims to be compatible with the 60d, 7d, and t3i (and says "not a complete list" as well).

I like this because I can swap cameras easily and no sticky adhesive to deal with, but I'm skeptical as to how this can work on different camera types... does the 7D/60D/t3i have the same screen position relative to the screw mount on the bottom? I would think each of these mounts would need to be custom built for that camera body!

Seems too good to be true- but if someone can chime in on this, maybe its worth it (especially at that price).

I saw these.

My only concern is attaching it to a quick plate or my baseplate.
It lifts the camera up and instead of the wide rubber skid being in contact with my plate, its a small plastic circle.

I thought his might be a good choice for handheld though. Like literally, just holding in my hand.

I see. And I assume the big rubber plate is better because it spreads the weight of the camera out more?

I never thought about it, really. Meanwhile, I see plenty of people using things like Gorilla Pods and other tiny camera mounts that don't really offer much more surface area than the mounting bolt alone. So, personally I'm not sure that would really bother me. I'm more concerned with how well this would actually fit on cameras other than the 7D pictured. Are all the screens on these cameras in the same position relative to the mounting threads?

I don't know the exact difference in screen positions between the 7D and 60D, but I can tell you for sure the 60D and 550D screens are in different positions. The first loupe I made for the 550D was mounted the same way to the bottom of the camera. When I tried to fit on the 60D it had to be moved up and over a few mm or more in 2 directions.

The trouble is you lose the swivel screen if you have one of those models and that is priceless to me. Sometimes I need to quickly take off the viewfinder for certain angles and snap it back on. I have three differant styles of viewfinders and this is by far my favorite:

because it quickly snaps on and off and I can flip it up and also has a diopter for my not so perfect eyes. It does cut off a bit of the image on the 60D if you have it flipped up though.

Adhesive...still the best.

Well, I know this, the seller Jinfinance is the same company producing those new FF's for $156.
I have had great experiences with them in regards to customer service, so if anyone is really interested, I'm sure we could get a quick reply from them.

No. Screen position varies. The CAVISION setup I had for the Canon Rebel had to be realigned to fit over the 7D screen properly. I have the 7D, 60D, and T3i (just sold my T2i) and the best setup I found was the Hoodman "Cinema Pro Kit" with the "crane" that mounted on the hotshoe on top. Going from camera to camera, readjusting the loupe position for proper alignment generally takes me under 30 seconds and I'm ready to go. Removing the whole thing so I can use the swivel LCD in an opened position is merely a matter of loosening the knurled wheel just above the hotshoe and sliding the whole thing off.

Mounts and dismounts in about 3-5 seconds. No glue, no adhesive, no interference with tripod quick release systems or anything else
