Well, Red has not officially said they will make a Leica M mount but I am pushing for it. I think Leica M is a perfect choice for Red. The Noctilux is an astounding optic if you want to do available light photography. It is a little soft in the corners wide open, as you might imagine, but it's still one of the most beautiful pieces of glass out there. Focusing that thing at F1 will take heroic AC though, especially at 4K.

would it be difficult to make an M mount for the RED?
Also I read that hthe lens is heavier and bulkier than regular leica lenses, but I think this would be an advantage here, what do you think?

Considering Leica used to make some of the best lenses in the world, im sure
that Red or a 3rd party company will make a Leica mount.
As well, you can always go to Century Optics and get the lenses remounted if you want.
