"No Soliciting" a film by Amy Beth O'Brien

Thanks Shawn! I had a photographer on set, but I haven't received the pics back from her yet. She's busy this weekend putting together a Kickstarter campaign, but hopefully I can get pics from her Monday or Tuesday.

Thanks, Kurt. I think all that gear was sourced from about six different places. I'm surprised we got everything back where it came from!

Looking good. I always get anxious from pre-shooting, to shooting and I can't relax until I start editing. Editing relaxes me. Unless I didn't get the footage I needed. Then I get anxious again :P

Good luck, looks like you got it all under control.

Thanks all!
Everything is going well. I "locked picture" this week, but I hit a bit of a snag this week when I realized the audio we recorded to camera (and I subsequently used in editing) was too quiet in areas and also had an annoying electronic hum. Lucky for me, my sound mixer recorded the sound separately as well, so I just had to sync up those files with the clips. Took a couple of days, but now I'm back on track.

I'm excited to share that Randin Graves is providing the musical score for this! He's working on it as I type, actually! w00t! Sound mix is happening this weekend. I've asked DVX Fest regular Matthew "Ramsaur" to help out with a VFX shot. My DP is coming in next week to help look over the color grading. I realize the deadline is just 6 days away, but I'm much further along than I've been in previous fests. And the work that does still need to be done isn't that complicated (for me, anyway :) ). Knock on wood, I don't anticipate being up all night Wednesday praying to the Render Gods to make my machine just a little bit faster!

Just a few days away from the deadline, and here is where I stand:

- Score is finished, and it is awesome. (Thanks, Randin!)
- My DP is coming by today to go over the color correction and set some scene looks.
- My friend who is doing the sound mix got back to me yesterday, and I gladly handed it over to him!
- I got the first pass of the VFX shot from Matt last night. Lookin' good.
- I've already done test renders to perfect the settings needed to get a nice looking 60mb file.

Just need to bring all the pieces together, now, but they should all be in place well before Thursday afternoon. Yay!

Great news, Amy! I can't wait to see it finished.

I'm glad you like the music, but I feel a little guilty cuz it was so easy. :)

Me too! It probably won't be up there until tomorrow, though. Just getting all the pieces together and making sure it's all working.
