Well, after submitting my third revision to the pitch for my QuestFest entry "Tropical Malaise" and getting yet another list of "suggestions", I am dropping out of the fest. Can someone please tell Jason Ramsey that not every story has to have a cute little dog in it? jeez. what is your obsession with the canine persuasion, man?!?!?! what's next DogFest?
 
Look, Zak, I'm sorry ... but I think you are being unreasonable. All we ask is that you include a cute dog in your film and then you are free to proceed. Why is it so hard?

Is it really asking so much to have a dog in 63.421% of the scenes in your story?

Note to self: Go change the internal rules to state feline instead of canine for the required element so we can still DQ Zak's entry
 
Why not just go ahead and ban him? We all know what goes on behind those closed doors... Como! Ban him!

ok, zak... for you we will rescind the dog requirement.... you only have to have it in 43.249% of your scenes... though I really am kinda hurt. we thought we would give you that one specifically b/c if anyone could rise to the challenge it would be you..

But, we certainly would NOT want to discourage you from being in the fests since we value your presence in them sooooooo much
